Gina started bookkeeping for a non-for-profit group while still a Senior in High School. While working in a larger CPA office, she realized that small businesses weren't getting the attention they needed and deserved. She understood that there had to be flexibility and the normal business hours of a small business aren’t just from 9-5; that each business has their own special needs and don't fit a "one-size-fits-all" mold. Since then, Gina has worked with and helped businesses across the country to get their offices and books in order.
In her free time, she enjoys watching football with her son, reading and dancing. She is proud of her husband's service to this country as a medic in the Army National Guard! Equally as proud of her son, who at a young age was diagnosed w/Autism. He is an NIU honors student, who is an Eagle Scout, loves and plays football, and plays trombone in pep band.
Jen spent 13 years in the insurance industry as an auto claim and worker's compensation claim adjuster. In 2004 she was fortunate to be able to become a stay at home mom for her 2 young children. She really enjoyed that time raising her family, and was glad to be able to have the opportunity to be involved as a volunteer at their schools and with Girl and Boy Scouting. She additionally stayed busy keeping the books and managing the daily operations of her husband's aquarium business.
In 2019 Ruth, a friend through their kids' schools and Boy Scouting, asked Jen if she would be interested in a job with her at Green Tree Bookkeeping. With her children now teenagers, Jen was excited to rejoin the workforce and put her bookkeeping and organizational skills to use.
“Since my first day at Green Tree it has never really felt like work. I have always loved numbers and everything to do with them. For me to be able to handle that for our clients so they have more time to focus on other aspects of their business is a win/win. Gina's dedication to providing the best possible service to fit our clients' needs is inspiring, and all of us Green Tree Girls work together like a well oiled machine. It is great to be a part of.” Away from work, Jen enjoys cooking, music, home improvement, road trips, entertaining friends and family and spending time outdoors. Believe it or not, her favorite "hobbies" are mowing the lawn and washing and waxing the car! Married to Matthew since 2003, her favorite way to spend time is doing anything and everything with him and their 2 awesome kids.
Alyssa is a senior double majoring in Accounting and Business Administration at Aurora University.
