Gina started bookkeeping for a non-for-profit group while still a Senior in High School. Since then she has worked with and helped businesses in the Fox Valley Area get their office in order. While working in a larger CPA office she realized that the small business weren't getting the attention that they needed and deserved. She understood that there had to be flexibility and that the normal business hours of a small business isn't just from 9-5. That each business has their own special needs and they don't fit a mold.
Gina has been the Treasurer for two non-for profit groups and believes strongly in giving back to the community. She is married and has a son. She is also involved with the PTA, Autism Speaks, and her son's school library. She LOVES a good book and enjoys be-bopping to all kinds of music.
Ruth lives in North Aurora with her husband Jeff and their 3 sons. She loves attending her boys' sporting, music and drama events, and is very involved in Boy Scouting. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and outdoor adventures. One thing she is passionate about is giving back - at church, in the community, at school etc. That's why she says she loves working at Green Tree Bookkeeping - "We help our customers succeed by letting them focus on their passions while we handle the bookkeeping. Not everyone is comfortable with tracking their numbers, and we are happy to do that, and more, to help a business grow."
Nicole loves to adventure, travel, read, play piano, go to the range, zip her motorcycle around town, and get competitive with Family Game Night… But when she's not getting competitive over Rummy 500, Trouble, or Scrabble, she gets competitive on the race track! Nicole races BMX. She has won the Illinois State Championship twice thus far in her racing career. Off the track, one of Nicole's greatest joys is being a Mom to daughter Aubrey! What she loves most about working for Green Tree Bookkeeping, "Is that it is truly a family-oriented business – in multiple aspects. One, my position with Green Tree allows me to evenly balance my Professional and Family duties, giving me a great sense of accomplishment on both sides of the coin. Two, Gina treats her “Green Girls” as if we are her own family. And three, because once you, the client, connect with Green Tree, you will have more time to spend with your own families, and inherently, you will become a part of our family too! So not only are we named “Green Tree” because of our financial services, but because of our “Family Tree” focus on the way we do business!".
After graduating from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Business, Karen spent 21+ years working for Allstate Insurance Company in various financial management positions. She retired in 2002 to focus on “being there” for her family and has never looked back. Married for 31+ years, she is the proud mom of 3 adult children, 2 son-in-laws, 2 Peek-A-Poos, and is also “Nana” to 4 grandchildren.
Ever passionate about lifestyle balance and wellness, Karen has multiple certifications in the fitness industry, with extensive training and expertise in Pilates, and over 15 years of teaching experience. She loves exploring new places, going on long bike rides, watching baseball, and cooking a great meal. She has a multitude of other interests and hobbies, but finds her greatest satisfaction in spending time with family and friends. Karen and Gina met in 2015 at a local charity event, and immediately connected. Karen was impressed with the fact that Gina had built her business from the ground up, and soon learned that for Gina, continuous improvement in both herself and her business are key priorities. "Green Tree is more than a bookkeeping business, it is about connecting with people and building long term relationships."
